I think there is an excellent chance that this is a false positive. The CDC says anyone with an index value below 3.0 needs a confirmatory test, and honestly, I’ve seen false positives on the IgG test up to 17!
There was just a study published showing that for quest, if the index values fall between 1.1 and 3.0, 57% of those are false positives! That is shameful, in my opinion, to keep running those tests,. But for you, you need a western blot to confirm or deny this value.
