I think your best bet now is to believe the paired serology that says you were indeterminate on both draws and that you should consider yourself negative.
PCR testing isn’t done from blood because the herpes virus isn’t in the blood – except in cases of neonatal herpes with a very sick baby or in disseminated infection in very sick adults.
The immunoblot is simply a different technique for doing the IgG test and it doesn’t give an index value. All of the IgG test brands that I’ve worked with have false positive results when compared to the western blot, from time to time. I’ve had people with an index value as high as 17 not confirm by western blot.
I’m afraid I am at my limit of ability to help you with this situation.
