As of today…I have been to several GYN, dermatologist, neurologist, have had an MRI and even EMG. All normal. While not as bad, I am still having vaginal burning, thigh burning, tingling, pain pricks, shocky sensation, and discomfort, still 98% right sided of vaginal, groin, thigh and buttock. Still no ulcers/blisters, but deep pink skin time to time. There are times I have been able to dismiss GHSV as the culprit and have sex, but generally leads to an increase of severity of symptoms, not severe but a noticeable uptick. All the research and docs say this cant be herpes, but I’ve read so many people who suffer with known GHSV1 say otherwise with identical symptoms.
1. I have not been able to dismiss herpes as the culprit here…should i?
2. Have you yourself come across people who suffer long term with symptoms, especially with no outbreaks?
3. My neurologist literally said he doesn’t know, try these meds, good day…would you reccomend another specialty?
I tried gabapentin, didn’t seem to help. Amitriptyline I couldn’t tolerate. I’ve been hoping for resolution but here I am, almost a full year since onset, still struggling with answers.
