We don’t have statistics on the transmission of HSV 2 via oral sex (giving or receiving). But if your infection is only genital, then you giving is not a risk. And your partner giving you oral sex is a very minimal risk as HSV 2 doesn’t like the oral area and rarely lives there.
BTW, if you’ve not had an actual outbreak of HSV 2 but only this blood test, you might consider confirming with the western blot. I have most definitely seen more false positives in this area than in the past. Just a thought.
