Herpes does live in the nerve but the kinds of sensations that you are describing and their persistent nature and frequency don’t necessarily fit with a new herpes diagnosis.
The numbers on the antibody test don’t tell us anything about infectiousness except whether one is infected or not.
You seem convinced that you are infected so I’m not going to try to talk you out of that but only would encourage you to do the western blot when 12 weeks have passed since the encounter to know for sure if you have HSV 2 or not.
