A person who has not sexually active does not need to worry about having genital herpes, period. It is not transmitted via bathrooms or any other way with things that are inanimate. It sounds like he had a cystoscopy that was abnormal with inflammation but I can tell you that you can take herpes off the table as a concern. I would trust the urologist to sort this out but I know it can be so frustrating not to have an answer. I suspect you are reaching out to me as kind of a last resort, but herpes isn’t your answer if he’s not had sex.
