It sounds absolutely nothing whatsoever like HSV to me. Not at all. Herpes on the thigh would look like a group of water blisters on a red base on the thigh.
So everyone makes their own decisions on these things. If you did acquire HSV 1 genitally, you would rarely have a recurrence. I am assuming that you tested negative for HSV 1 with a good test to make this decision. That’s quite a big decision unless you really don’t like receiving oral sex.
