Thank you for your response regarding antibody production and lysine.
I (female) was exposed to a ghsv2 positive male on 5/14. (Not protected) which is why I had been taking 3g of Lysine along with other “natural” supplements. Although, now I know these aren’t proven to help with HSV.
Some atypical symptoms I’ve been experiencing is a burning/tingle in my vaginal area, and once in a while an electric type shock. Prior I did test positive for a yeast infection and was treated accordingly. This was most likely due to antibiotics given to me from planned parenthood for prevention treatment after the 5/14 incident. However, These symptoms still persist. I also have somewhat of a groin pain, like an aching, or bruise type feeling. It also happens under my arm pits and sometimes behind my knees, almost like pressure coming out from inside. Weird.
Again, I’ve tested negative at 3,6, and 8 weeks. My most recent test came back as .08 antibodies for hsv2, which I’m aware is negative.
My questions are, if these are in fact hsv symptoms, shouldn’t my body be responding accordingly by creating antibodies?
Also, is testing at 12 weeks most accurate because leading up to the 12 weeks people tend to test equivocal or low positive?
Thanks so much for your time, and look forward to reading your response.
