1. If the virus is localized to my finger does that mean that I can not transmit it through my genitals to another person? I still plan to wear protection but that would kind of explain how she never got it when we were having unprotected sex.
it would be unusual to have it only your finger, but not impossible. And her negative test makes that a bit more likely. I am assuming that you had a positive swab test done from the finger lesion and that it tested positive for HSV 2?
