I’m trying to imagine how someone gives oral sex to someone else without their lips coming into some kind of contact with their genitals – would be tough!
You could get a baseline IgG test now. About 50% of the population has HSV 1 so the chances of you already having it are high. If you are negative, you could repeat the test at 12 weeks
If you’ve not had an outbreak in two weeks, it is very unlikely that you have a brand new infection. There is nothing that you can do or not eat that will change your situation now.
I do think the time is really short to have contracted HSV if his statement of the duration is correct.
