If this were a herpes recurrence, would it last this long?
I’ve read they usually only last 7-10 days and that symptoms don’t come and and go.
1. I’ve read that you’ve never seen an indeterminate change to positive, if my last encounter was 8 months ago, would it be safe to assume that whatever answers I get on the blot will be definitive, and that if it’s indeterminate I can consider it negative?
The guidelines from UW is that if you’ve not had sex in one year, you should consider the indeterminate a negative
2. Have you seen a lot of cases where people where causing themselves similar symptoms to herpes because of all the stress? Psychosomatic symptoms I think they’re called. My doctor thinks that may be what i’m doing to myself.
Well, yes. Certainly. But what I see most often is people noticing very small symptoms that would normally have gone unnoticed but because herpes is a worry now, they get over- noticed, if you will, and attributed to herpes, which is often an error.
