Thank you for getting back so quickly. I have read previous posts regarding similar scenarios, but figuered I’d ask.
So despite the possibility of a micro abrasion on my index finger it is thought that HSV cannot infect through clothing? Why is that?
So I should absolutely get an HSV test? Would you recommend the typical antibody test or Western Blot? I have had cold sores before and take medication as needed for flare ups. So I will likely test for HSV-1, as I know it occurred from a kiss.
So, because the spot I mentioned does not give off the characteristics of whitlow and HSV is said to not transmit through clothes this is why you say absolutely not whitlow?
Sorry for the clarification on some things, I guess just getting my money’s worth before I proceed with anything. Regardless this experience has put me off from any high risk behavior such as this and it seems I possibly got off light.
Thank you for everything you do. I will await your response and continue with what you recommend. Thank you again.
