MEL, are you hearing me? This result does not make sense at all. Your sexual experience was not a risk for the acquisition of HSV 2. I’m not sure how to convince you to get the western blot but somehow, you need to believe me that you need another test. In the past six weeks I have had two people with index values in the 12 range who did NOT confirm by western blot. Please. Do this. I can help you. Or work with your own doctor to get this but even the ID doc doesn’t seem to understand that the result of your IgG test does not fit with your sexual history.
