1.) After how many months/weeks is HSV 1 IGG test the most accurate?
It’s not a great test and misses 30% of HSV 1 infections compared to the western blot, but as good as it gets 12 weeks out.
2.) Do you believe my September 2021 test results to be conclusive given my last exposure to HSV 1 was early April 2021?

3.) I’m afraid of going back to the doctors or even getting IGG tested again because I went through all of this just a year ago and everything came back negative so I don’t want to psychologically put myself through all that stress again. What would you recommend I do?
I recommend the western blot – it has no false positives and has a 96% catch rate vs. 70 for the IgG test for HSV 1.
