Thanks for your response! I believe you missed my other question but that’s okay. I had also asked if it’s possible to have both oral HSV1 and oral HSV2 or does oral HSV1 protect against oral HSV2?

My follow up question is about my HSV1 status. The blot can’t differentiate between oral and genital. I get cold sores infrequently and never had genital breakouts (not that I am aware of). Can I assume I don’t have genital HSV1 or is it possible I have contracted genital HSV1 but I am asymptomatic?
