You said you were positive for HSV 2 by swab test? Or do you know actually? If you could obtain those results, it would be helpful to know for sure. Do you have the numbers associated with the positive HSV 1 and 2 blood antibody tests? And were they IgG or IgM? You can share them with me here
And no recurrences orally or genitally?
Shingles could happen genitally though quite uncommonly and it would not be “triggered” by HSV.
Everyone who has ever had chicken pox is vulnerable to getting shingles.
