What would make it an inaccurate positive?the hsv2 lab was drawn 2 weeks after what I believe is my exposure date. Not sure if this would impact the antibodies building up but my body tends to heal very quickly and I believe I was actively having an outbreak due to the spots on my cervix as well as burning and red lesions on my vulva. The reason I’m having a hard time believing that this is an old infection is because I have never noticed any sign or symptoms of having hsv but within a few days of this encounter I was having very noticeable symptoms( the swollen tonsils, constant burning in vulva and then red spots once it stopped, now I have what seem to be gashes as well in my vulva) and from what I’ve seen it’s unlikely a recurrent outbreak would be worse than the initial outbreak. There was a lot of sexual activity that night with 4 men and I was wondering could the number of times in such a short time I had sex with the affected individual/s impact how much I was exposed.
