HSV 1 genital infection is very rarely transmitted to a sex partner.
if someone has both, it is likely that a swab from a sore would be HSV 2 positive as HSV 1 is so rarely shed.
If you want a western blot, you should add a week or two for the 10 days you took meds to testing time frame – maybe 14 weeks instead of 12. it probably won’t make too much of a difference, though
