Your GYN is totally incorrect. Lots of people test in the equivocal range and never go on to test positive. With those two people testing negative, I think you are very likely in the clear, but only about 6 weeks passed for testing so you might want to do one more at 10 weeks out. I think it will remain negative or equivocal – not to worry about the equivocal.
