If you really don’t care anymore, why would you do the blot?
Yes, I have seen people with that index value and higher have false positives on the HSV 1 base on the result on the blot. I can not tell you if it’s worth doing or not – that’s up to you.
If you are positive for HSV 1, we cannot know if your infection is oral or genital but my position on this is that before you give someone oral sex, you should disclose that you have the cold sore virus as most infections are still oral.
