1. if my swab for HSV2 is negative do you feel there is a need for an IGG test?
What was the results of the the swab test? I think an IgG test might be appropriate in your situation, per the CDc recommendations. You have certainly been put at risk, unknowingly for both of you
2. Since he was on antivirals for 7days with no improvement. Could his HSV2 been a false positive?
I think it is likely not a false positive, but I have seen them in that range, most definitely. The western blot would clarify that
