Sounds like molluscum contagiosum to me, honestly. Few things have a little dimple in the middle but that does. Herpes does not.
But let’s say it is herpes, as a possibility. The acyclovir that you took prior to a swab test would definitely influence not only the swab test but also the antibody test.
The best time to take a swab is when there is very clearly something to swab.
You could obtain swabs from 24/7 Labs and do it at home if you have difficulty lining up an appointment with your provider or you could go to urgent care if you get it again.
