Both LabCorp and quest use the Diasorin HSV one and two IgG test. I have seen probably five people with positive inhibition essays to request to our negative by western blot. If the IgG test at 1.39 was your only lab test for HSV two, I would say there’s an 85% chance that this is a false positive. But your testing situation is a mess and you definitely need the blot. I can help you with this on this website or you can work with your own provider to get this done. You can order the test from the university of Washington, the test kit I should say, at phone number 206-685-6066.
I wish I could help you understand this better but because the values are so all over the place I just don’t know what to make of it. I think the western blot is your best answer.
