You could have the “cysts” swab tested, yes, to determine if these are caused by HSV or not. I suspect not.
The way to know if the cuts are herpes or not is swab testing by PCR or NAAT test. If you can’t get this done by your provider you can order your own tests at 24/7 Lab and do that tests at home.
I think you are very bothered by this diagnosis and are having a hard time sorting out what is herpes and what is not but I can tell you that HSV 1 is mostly a very quiet infection and is rarely active.
