NAAT testing is virtually the same as PCR. It is a nucleic acid amplification test. Some labs use that term. HSV one is very rarely transmitted through intercourse but it’s not impossible. You may wish to consider taking daily antiviral medicine for awhile while your infection is still relatively new to reduce the risk of transmission. We honestly don’t know how much daily antiviral medicine reduces transmission of HSV one because it is shed so in frequently as part of its natural history. But it certainly can’t hurt
