It sounds to me like your oral infection was HSV due to sores and blisters that were diagnosed as HSV but since you’ve never had genital sores and only vague symptoms, I think it is unlikely that you have HSV 1 genitally. We can’t prove a negative – we can only make some assumptions based on a previous oral infection and no genital sores. A swab test of a lesion in the genital area might detect HSV 1 if it was there – same with a pap smear.
