I think genital-to-genital rubbing is a limited risk but not zero. I see that you posted on the ASHA website as well. I don’t think any of us can give you a firm answer here – you are going to have to decide how much you want to be certain that you are or are not infected. You could start with an IgG test and if you get a low positive (instead of a negative), then do the blot. How does that sound? It definitely doesn’t cost $400 to do an igG test.
