So you do have a low positive for certain. The LabCorp test – no supplemental test was done? They seem to be out test kits right now. If the inhibition assay is negative, that is good news. If positive, I wouldn’t believe it as we have seen several false positives on that test as compared to the gold standard western blot. If you test positive on the IA, get a western blot to be certain.
You mentioned that you had had unprotected encounters in the past three months – was that with your fiance or someone else? If someone else, did they get tested?
