There is an 85% chance that this is a false positive. I am disappointed that your GP decided to run an HSV panel for HSV 1 AND 2 because you had some sores in your mouth as HSV 1 doesn’t often make sores inside the mouth and now here you are. You definitely need a western blot to clear this up. You can order the kit from them at 206-685-6066. Then you can work with your GP or with me to get the order for the test. This is not one you can order for yourself but you can order the kit for yourself.
