So even with all that said (the potential for false negatives with the WB), it would be safe to assume that after waiting 12 weeks, not taking any antivirals, and never experiencing the presence of blisters, a negative WB is worth it’s weight in gold compared to the IGG?
In other words, if a negative WB is obtained with the conditions described above, one can safely and confidently state they are HSV negative or will there always be some shred of doubt?
Were there any other false negatives that did not meet the conditions of having taken antivirals and not waited 12 weeks? How did they end up determining they were false negatives, they ended up having sn outbreak?
