Have you never in your life had a cold sore on your lip or in your nose? That is why you are HSV one positive, with high likelihood. You could also have HSV one genitally but that is less likely. Your HSV-2 index value is relatively high and I think there is a high probability that this would confirm by western blot though I have had one false positive as high as 17. I think it is very unlikely that the HSV-2 that is reflected in this antibody test was acquired on 23 March and you have this higher value on April 7. That’s highly unlikely. It is far more likely, if this is an accurate positive, that you look acquired it before this encounter at some point.
