I think it could easily be a false positive. Condoms reduce transmission from men to women by 96% so the likelihood that you got infected is low. Also, you would almost certainly not be antibody positive with any significance only five days after having sex with someone who has herpes. I agree that you should be retested but wait a little while and don’t do the test with Kaiser because they don’t give you the index value even though they have it. They definitely do have it unless they’ve changed their testing methods. They just don’t report it.
