I think it is safe to say that you have HSV 1, without question, but I don’t think we know that your symptoms are HSV 1 related, no. You need to have a swab test done of your throat when you have the symptoms that you describe.
About half the US population has HSV 1, so very common. And unless this throat condition is swab test positive, you cannot know the location of your HSV 1 infection without a sore to swab test.
