I know Igm testing is unreliable but is their anything to take from that test?
There is absolutely nothing to take from this test – it should be banned entirely
Would the swab be accurate even though there was no fluid or open sore just a bump that went away a week later?
It depends upon if the swab was a PCR or NAAT test or a culture – the first two are far more accurate.
Would the flu-like symptoms present this long after the initial exposure and without lesions?
Just a heads up the flu like symptoms are headache fever running nose sore throat sneezing coughing up mucus eye pain and fatigue.
Those have nothing to do with herpes and are not flu symptoms in the way we think about that. Your symptoms are of an upper respiratory infection.
