1. Would wearing a bathing suit (that had sat wet in a hamper for two days) after someone with or without an active herpes outbreak be a concern?
No. The conditions are not good for the virus to live, even though it is wet. And we don’t even know that your friend could have been shedding virus at the time. I think transmission in this way is incredibly remote – I woudln’t give it a second thought.
2. My worry is that the suit was in the hamper wet that whole time. I’m not sure how wet it could’ve been 2 days later, but if it was still damp is transmission a concern?
