I gave up dairy for my daughter who was showing signs of an allergy through breast milk. But I started taking dairy again this week.
I have not had my lips swabbed, but still continue to feel the tingling daily. Sometimes it subsides, but I feel it in multiple places. My lips haven’t really turned red every time or swelled up every time. For example, I am feeling tingling and some burning right now, but do not see anything visibly wrong, except for some cuts in my lips. It’s almost like a constant buzz feeling, and I feel it on top and bottom lips.
Is there a swab test I can do without any visible sores?
My pediatrician and PCP think I shouldn’t take it daily only when I’m having an outbreak. But I am tempted to just try and take it to see if the tingling goes away. I am not sure if I should just take the one day dose or do a daily suppressive dose— I am also afraid of causing an outbreak by starting and stopping the antivirals. Could that happen?
And I am so afraid to touch my mouth, could I spread it to my hands?
Could I spread it genitally to my husband?
Then I’m afraid of spreading it to my kids and they have it all over their bodies. I am very paranoid.
