Im sorry I’m asking you this question again, but do you think I was swabbed correctly for the HSV1/2 PCR I had described above?

Also, if I start taking antivirals, can that affect my shedding rate? For example, I have cold sores 1-2 times a year, is that when I always shed or do I still shed asymptomatically also? If I take antivirals and don’t have a cold sore anymore, is that suppressing my symptoms and still causing me to shed, so now I really will not know when I’m shedding?

I’m just very afraid to give it to my kids, and perform any oral sex on my husband. I know you have already told me to share with my kids and that my husband may be asymptomatic, or I’m unlikely to give it to him now. I have this fear that once I start taking the antivirals what if it affects my shedding, and when I’m having an outbreak I won’t know because the antivirals hide it.
