Can fungal infections come and go without treatment? As I do often suffer from athletes foot so not sure if it is related.

The itch does come and go and feels intense when it is present. I would say I experience aggressive itchiness twice a month which I’m worried it comes and goes with the bumps. Although the larger bump appears in the exact place everytime and I am unsure whether it disappears totally.

Would you say testing is necessary if this was my only contact?

I’m just helplessly worried as we are due a baby and I don’t want my wife to pass anything on.
