LabCorp is not going to get their supplemental test back, I don’t believe.
The advice on the western blot indeterminate is to repeat it again 3 months from the first one and if indeterminate again, consider it negative. I don’t know what was so complicated about this – my patients do it all the time without much confusion at all – but that’s what I would advise. The decision to go with the LabCorp result, if a lot higher, is one way to handle this but not my favorite.
