Hi Terri, it’s me again. I admit that I am having an extreme OCD flare-up and could use some reassurance. Since my last post, I have gotten (another) western blot. That now makes 2 negative blots (for hsv 1 & 2) and I think 6-8 negative IGGs (for hsv 1 & 2). I have never taken antivirals and the incident was 5+ years ago, I just can’t seem to shake it. Can I safely assume that if the provider thought the “ulcer” was too small to even swab that it was not HSV? It only stung one time while showering, so I think that means it went away very quickly… too quickly for what would have been a true primary outbreak, if I am correct. I’m sorry if this is excessive, I am working with a therapist and this will be my last post, I promise. Thank you for all that you do for us on here!
