I think I have one final post remaining.
As stated previously I tested negative on the western blot for both HSV1 and HSV2.
For the most part I have put this fear behind me. I still check the forums out of curiously and a new question hit me. This is just a general question and does not apply to me but I’m surprised others have not asked.
Is the western blot looks for 4 out of the 16 proteins to confirm a diagnosis, then how could anyone ever test indeterminate? If you have all 4 that would be positive, if you have less than 4 (so even 3), isn’t that considered negative? What causes someone to test indeterminate and how is that decided using whatever evaluation criteria the lab uses?
