Yes, we did discuss. Swab test was GHSV1 positive, negative for GHSV2. IGG was HSV1 26.90 and HSV2 1.15.
Would retesting or Western blot be the only way to know if I actually have HSV2? It seems like it could be a false positive since swab was HSV1. I didn’t have an outbreak in 12 years.
If a partner already has OHSV1, can they contract GHSV1 or are they protected?
How do people with GHSV1 handle disclosing their status? Is there any helpful educational information to share about the low risk?
Current partner tested awhile back and was negative IGG for both. What’s the false negative rate for the blood tests?
