In your experience, how common is HSV 1 transmitted from oral to genitals when there is an active outbreak and when there isn’t on the giver of oral sex. I’m curious to see if it’s a common way of transmission or not? Are the chances high or low on this way of HSV 1 transmission to the genitals from the mouth?
the most common way HSV 1 is transmitted to the genitals is by someone with the cold sores virus (with or without symptoms) giving oral sex to someone who doesn’t have HSV 1 or HSV 2. Both are possible, but often, people with visible cold sores don’t give oral sex to others.
