People ask a lot about tingling. People with herpes can get a sensation that I would describe more accurately as crawling under the skin. This is the virus reactivating on the nerve. But tingling by itself without a diagnosis of herpes or lesions would be more likely some other kind of either nerve compression or skin condition that effects the underlying nerves. The area you describe is prime for fungal conditions, though you are not describing any skin changes. It could also be nerve compression from the physical exercise you are doing. But without lesions or an accurate diagnosis of herpes, I would not attribute tingling to herpes – that would be way out in left field, I think.
