How do I go about getting a blot? I was just going to move on but have noticed a couple bumps one turning into what looked like a sore. This could easily be nothing but without the 100% certainty from getting the blot done I’ll just assume every blemish is herpes so I’ll just go ahead and take the test I’m well past 12 weeks now.
BrandondpSpectatorYeah so I got so anxious waiting for the 12 weeks I just went and took the supplemental inhibition test and in the process another igg was run and it came back negative so the whole test wasn’t run. This was at 8 weeks. My question is with the two low iggs followed by a negative do you think it’s fine to just move on with my life? I’m reaching my breaking point.
BrandondpSpectatorYeah I’ll just wait it out and take the blot then
BrandondpSpectatorAnd numbers would typically shoot up during a new infection right?
BrandondpSpectatorOh and another thing when the lab called me they said that quests igg test wouldn’t come back positive 15 days after exposure it was too early is this true? That would be the only instance in my life I could have been exposed.
BrandondpSpectatorI took another blood test a little more then 3 weeks later results slightly lower HSV 1 1.37 from 1.6 and HSV 2 1.26 to 1.24 should I just assume false positive at this point? If I was truly positive since after 15 days I was positive at 1.26 why would my body just stop making antibodies? Everyone tells me the numbers and from what I’ve seen from others retests that those numbers should shoot up pretty noticeably with a new infection
