So your recommendation for me to assume I am negative for HSV 1 and 2 still stands despite my partner’s (at the time) history of oral sores? The reason I keep asking because I am understanding “can trust” as whether I want to or not, rather than your recommendation of “should trust” the exam. I want to move on from this chapter in my life and not having to fear of harming others.
When you say I can, do you mean I should? Sorry for splitting hairs, this has bothered me for a long time.
I appreciate your time and patience on the matter.
I also wanted to note that my partner at the time, told me she used to get cold sores as a child. Can I still trust my negative blood tests including the western blot and assume I am hsv 1 and 2 negative?
